Wolf Pass

When Behrdal closes in to finish him, Sylvia deliberately capsizes their canoe, throwing the outlaw into the icy current. Hastings swims out, subdues and saves the drowning man, and takes him prisoner. In the quiet paddle back to Bighorn, Sylvia’s remorse meets Hastings’s stern compassion, and the couple reconcile, their bond renewed by shared danger and hard-won clarity.
